A Leg Up

These are my favorite pair of stockings I have right now. The sheerness is dainty and delicate, yet enduringly provocative all at the same time. The effortlessly chic pattern of polka dots evokes a vintage, 1930's pin-up sort of charm.
Versatile enough to be dressed up or down. Wear with a shift dress, long tunic, chunky cable-knit sweater or even a pair of tweed trouser shorts.

Au Courant

My October has been a whirlwind of work, celebrating my birthday, planning Halloween costumes, anxiously awaiting the arrival of my sister's baby, and plenty of other things that explain the absence of new posts. However, I have much to come, so keep checking in!
As you know, my birthday was this month. One of my gifts, wrapped in a rather architectural fashion around my finger and is the newest member to my collection of jewels, is the Studded Arc Ring from Urbanoutfitters. The first day I wore it was to work and every one of my tables I waited on showed a liking to it. It's ability to start conversation is rather impressive.

Lennon Lenses

Ever since I saw Mary-Kate Olson in the Chanel half-tinted round sunglasses, I absolutely had to find a pair. Over a year later, of course, and after plenty of searching for a knock-off, I finally got my fashion hungry hands on some look-a-likes. The tint isn't quite as drastic but, I still love them. I feel like a mix between John Lennon and Harry Potter. It's fabulous, just fabulous.

White Haute

Boots are my favorite. I found this slouchy pair at Bakers last year when I was on a quest for white leather. I was going to dye them either red or mustard yellow but decided that white would be so much cooler. They have such a mod, go-go girl vibe and I love it. I feel like Twiggy.
White after Labor Day? I say yes, as long as the fabric looks and feels heavy enough. Winter whites like white leather, wool and corduroys look so crisp and classic in cold weather. White jeans done in the right way can be hot, too.

Blush

I love clothing that resembles lingerie. This blush colored slip and boyfriend blazer couldn't go together more perfectly. The slip has just the right amount of allure without being too risque. The multi-layered pearl necklaces and lovely oversized glass faux-diamond ring dangling from the end adds even more feminine charm.
