haphazardly collected

Worn rather randomly on my body is a chain necklace I bought at Gap. Originally, it was twenty-four dollars too much; I found it for three. I love it's versatility however, I'll leave the wearing it over the eyes for Lady Gaga. Also pretty random are these pictures. The snowy path is near my house. I drive passed it quite often. I've always wanted to stop and take a picture of it so, I finally did the other day. The guitar is my brothers. I was sort of testing out my camera to see how close I could take a picture before clarity subsided. It passed the test; pretty good for a digital camera.
The furry leather boots I bought at TJ Maxx. The full price was $400. I got them for an entirely reasonable $60. I treat my feet so well.

if you look closely

I got a new camera for Christmas, hence all the up close and personal shots. Also a gift, the lovely Rodarte lace cardigan from Target that I'm wearing. The sheerness reminds me of lingerie which inspired our heavy eyes and muted mouths. Peaking underneath my sisters chiffon dress is a sequin tube-bra and black boyshorts. She wore this outfit to a new years eve lingerie party accessorized with oversized faux diamond cuff bracelets and anything that sparkled-probably the only place appropriate to wear such a thing.

rambo on holiday

My sister, keeping it classy in Wisco with a leopard print scarf wrapped around her head, Gap jeans, Gap men's plaid-button down, Gap blazer, UO t-shirt and Wal-Mart rubber boots. I received mixed reviews on the boots when I bought them. Their unattractiveness can't be denied but there was just something about them that I liked. Perhaps it is in fact that unattractiveness that drew me in and the reminisncence of my horribly clunky pair of Dr. Martins circa sixth grade. Who knows, though. Sometimes my fashion antics can't be explained.

they called her dazz

I feel the need to put bows, diamonds and sparkly things on just about everything lately; and wear red. I think you can guess why. I picked up my ruby red slippers at TjMaxx recently. I'm a firm believer that every woman needs a pair of killer red heels. They're timeless and a wardrobe staple. When in doubt, throw on a little black dress and something red. It's so simple yet so incredibly attention grabbing. The cable-knit sweater dress is from Target. The mass of fur I pinned on my shoulder I randomly found in my mom's closet. I'm pretty sure it's real but I don't know what kind of animal it came from. My knowledge of fur isn't quite there yet. The legging/riding pants are from Abercrombie. The random brooches and bow pinned on me are things I've gathered here and there over time. The gem bracelet that I fell in love with is from H&M. It's soft gold color and big, hazy gem make it look like a family heirloom, but only cost me $5. My ankle socks are fishnet tights that I had an urge to cut up.
